Bengal election: Jaya Bachchan to do campaign for TMC candidate, impact of Mamata's letter

Kolkata: West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee recently wrote a letter to the leaders of major opposition parties of the country, including the Congress, and appealed to unite against the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). His appeal seems to be paying off and now Samajwadi Party (SP) MP Jaya Bachchan will be seen campaigning for the Trinamool Congress (TMC) candidate on Monday.

Please tell that Jaya Bachchan, wife of Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan, is originally from Bengal. For this reason, Amitabh Bachchan has often been called the son-in-law of Bengal. TMC has included Jaya Bachchan in its list of star campaigners. Jaya Bachchan has reached Kolkata late Sunday evening and will campaign in support of TMC candidate Arup Biswas from Tallygunge on Monday. Biswas is pitted against BJP candidate Babul Supriyo.

Please tell that after Nandigram this seat is also in the headlines. On the one hand, three-time TMC MLA Arup Biswas is going to contest the seat to save his seat, on the other hand, Union Minister Babul Supriyo is contesting on a BJP ticket. Let us know that Babul Supriyo is a popular singer and he is considered to have a lot of dominance especially in Bangla cinema. Talking about TaliGanj, this area is the stronghold of Bangla cinema. Meanwhile, Jaya Bachchan's campaign to campaign against her is also a message of solidarity from the opposition parties, which was appealed to by TMC supremo and CM Mamata Banerjee.
