PM Modi takes all-party meeting on agricultural law, JDU supports laws

New Delhi: An all-party meeting was held today under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi regarding the budget session (2021-22). In this meeting, Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad, Sudip Bandyopadhyay of Trinamool Congress (TMC), Shiv Sena MP Vinayak Raut, and Balwinder Singh Bhunder of Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) gave their opinion on the peasant movement. At the same time, RCP Singh, a Rajya Sabha member representing JDU, supported the agricultural laws.

Let us tell you that usually all such meetings were held before the session of Parliament so that the proceedings of both the houses could be easily done. During this virtual meeting, there was already a possibility of opposition parties demanding a discussion on the peasant movement. Protesting farmers have stood at various borders in Delhi demanding the repeal of three new agricultural laws of the Center.

Although opposition parties made similar demands in an all-party meeting convened by Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla on Friday, the government suggested that the issue of farmer agitation could be raised at the time of discussing the motion of thanks on the President's address, For which 10 hours time has been given in the Lok Sabha on February 2, 3 and 4.
