Billionaire and Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani’s son Jeet Adani got married to Surat based Diamond merchant Jaimin Shah’s daughter Diva Shah on Friday, 07th February in a private ceremony at Shantigram township. As stated by Gautam Adani himself a few days back, the billionaire chose to go against the culture of big fat lavish weddings and opt for a simple traditional Gujarati- Jain wedding instead. The occasion was marked with a Rs. 10,000 crore wedding gift that will be channeled for various social causes. The donation aims to benefit the people in multiple ways to fund infrastructure initiatives in healthcare, education and skill development. People will have an access to world class hospitals and medical colleges, top-tier K12 schools, advanced skill academies and also ensure employment. The couple had also taken ‘Magal Seva’ pledge to contribute Rs 10 lakh each for the wedding of 500 disabled women every year. For launching the initiative, Jeet Adani even met 21 disabled women and their partners ahead of the wedding. There was no celebrity Mahakumbh, no private jets ferrying guests to the event, no Taylor Swift performance, the wedding was simple, adorned with traditional rituals attended by only family and close friends. This was said by Gautam Adani himself when he visited Prayagraj, “The wedding will be simple and traditional, just like common people.” The couple Jeet and Diva tied the knot at Belvedere Club in Adani’s Shantigram township, Ahmedabad on Friday afternoon with the festivities beginning around 2 pm. The industrialist himself took to X, blessing the couple and sharing some adorable pictures from the wedding. He wrote in the post, “With the blessings of the Almighty God, Jeet and Diva tied the sacred knot of marriage today. The wedding took place today in Ahmedabad with traditional rituals and Shubh Mangal Bhaav among loved ones. It was a small and extremely private function, so we could not invite all the well-wishers even if we wanted to, for which I apologize. I sincerely seek blessings and love from all of you for my daughter Diva and Jeet.” The wedding, even though an intimate ceremony, was nothing less of a fairytale, Diva looked breathtaking in a Sabyasachi red and white lehenga with golden embroidery, finishing her look with red colored velvet dupatta. The makeup was soft and subtle with smokey eyes, and the hair tied in a classic bun adding to her grace and charm on the big day. For jewelry, she opted for a diamond choker and a delicate maang tika. While Jeet was complementing his wife in an ivory sherwani, pairing his ensemble with golden doshala and matching turban.
