Jeet Adani, son of Business tycoon Gautam Adani is all set to get married today in a simple and traditional ceremony. This comes after the big fat Indian wedding of Anant Ambani that was held last year followed by four months of lavish pre-wedding parties and rituals, with all of pomp and show, glamor and showbiz. As per reports, the wedding will take place at Shantigram, the Adani township, in Ahmedabad, keeping it all simple and low key with Gujarati and Jain traditions. The wedding venue is all lit up before the event. 28 year-old Jeet Adani who is the younger son of India’s second richest man Gautam Adani got engaged to Diva Shah, daughter of Surat Diamond merchant Jaimin Shah in a private ceremony in 2023. Earlier, there were speculations around about the wedding of Jeet to be a star studded affair but Gautam Adani had cleared it all during his visit last month to Mahakumbh. Announcing about the wedding to take place on February 7, Gautam Adani had said, “It will be a simple, traditional marriage just like common people in the presence of close family and friends.” All the rumors and speculations of the performance of pop singer Taylor Swift, then Shankar Mahadevan, with an extravagant spectacle were rubbished. The Mehendi ceremony took place on February 5 at Shantivan, the residence of the Adanis along with other pre-wedding festivities. The couple has decided to dedicate their wedding to the causes that matter to them. Jeet Adani has strongly advocated for the persons with disabilities. Even now ahead of the wedding ceremony, the couple participated in ‘Mangal Seva’ that aims to provide Rs 10 lakh annually for the cause of the marriages of 500 women suffering from disabilities. He met 21 newly wed disabled women and their husbands to launch the initiative. Manish Malhotra, the famous fashion designer is also joining hands with NGO Family of Disabled (FOD) where he will design shawls for the couples. FOD has created painted glassware, plates and other accessories for the wedding. Notably, another NGO from Chennai, Kai Rassi is also contributing to the wedding celebration. It has been known that the guests who are going to attend the wedding will be gifted hand woven Paithani sarees that are woven by 400 traditional artisans.
