Dhanbad: 46 surviving tortoises have been recovered from the possession of a woman traveling in the Jodhpur Howrah Express train at Dhanbad railway station in Jharkhand. Railway police said that on receipt of information about the illegal trafficking of wildlife turtle, the Special Task Force has taken part in raiding the train's boggie. Two bags were found from the possession of a woman named Aarti Devi who was riding from Mughalsarai in the raid. Later, the Railway Police informed the matter to the Forest Department. In a hurry, the forest department officials reached the spot and seized the turtle under the leadership of Ranger RB Prasad and took the woman into custody and reached the office of the forest department. While giving information, Ranger RB Prasad said that according to the woman, she often used to go to Howrah to sell the turtle. But due to the vigilance of the Railway Police, it was caught today.
