Naxalites worth Rs 2 lakh arrested from Jharkhand, 3 people of BJP leader's family killed

Ranchi: The Jharkhand police got a major breakthrough when prize money of two lakh was arrested with a Naxalite weapon. Police of Khunti district got the intelligence input of a prize naxalite in the jungles of the Arki police station area. Based on this information, the police laid a trap and arrested a Naxalite.

The arrested Naxalite was rewarded with two lakh. He is the area commander of the PLFI militant organization. He is also accused in the case of killing three people of the BJP leader's family. About 22 cases have been registered against him in various police stations. In fact, Khunti SP had received secret information that a team of PLFI militant outfits was roaming in the Lebed forest under Arki Police Station. On the information, Khunti SDPO Amit Kumar and CRPF team formed a joint team and conducted raids, while some youths started fleeing in view of the police.

However, the police arrested a young man in a siege. On search, pistols and cartridges and Naxal stickers were recovered from him. In the interrogation, he has told his name Choyta aka Sanika alias Moraha. The Jharkhand government had announced a reward of two lakh for the arrested Naxalites. On top of this, about 22 cases including the killing of three people of BJP leader's family in Murhu, an encounter with police have been registered.
