J-hope's Jack in the Box becomes fastest solo album to get 100mn streams

Congratulations are in order as after the release of his highly anticipated solo album, ‘Jack In The Box’ BTS’s J-hope has broken many more records than we can count. In a recent achievement, the singer’s Jack in the Box becomes the fastest k-pop solo album to reach 100 million streams. This milestone is achieved by the singer in just eight days.

J-hope previously owned the record first k-pop soloist to have an album reach 100 million streams on Spotify with Hope World, the first, k-pop solo act to reach 100, 200, and 300 million streams.

J-hope’s Jack in the Box additionally debuted at #8 on Spotify's 'Global Top Artists' chart, the highest rank a Korean solo artist has achieved on the chart. The idol also joined BTS as the only K-Pop act to ever enter the top 10 of the said chart. Furthermore, J-Hope remained in the top 30 of the daily chart, ranking at #28.

According to Spotify, J-Hope's solo debut album 'Jack In The Box,' which has ten tracks, accumulated a total of 19,669,487 streams on Spotify on its first day, becoming the second-biggest debut album released in 2022 in first-day streams by a K-Pop act, just behind J-Hope's own group's album 'Proof.' In addition, 'Jack In The Box' earned the biggest debut for an album by a Korean solo artist in Spotify history.

In particular, the album's title song, "Arson," recorded over 3.8 million streams on the first day, the second most-streamed track from J-Hope's album, following the pre-release single "MORE," which had over 5.4 million first-day streams on Spotify.

Meanwhile, all tracks from 'Jack In The Box' debuted on Spotify's 'Global Chart Top 100', with "MORE" as the highest-charting song at #13 (updated on the album's release date, July 16).
