The Central Government has started the exercise of promoting digital activities to rush jobs in North-Eastern India. For this, while releasing Northeast Digital agenda of 2022 on Saturday, IT Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad has made many announcements. Prasad said that now those who have installed BPO in seven states of Assam, Meghalaya, Manipur and Tripura will be given financial assistance of Rs one lakh per seat on the government's 10,000 seats. The Union Minister inaugurated the cluster swift centre for the manufacture of electronic products in Tech City, Guwahati. Built in 38 acres of the square meter at a cost of 120 crores in more than 100 acres, this centre will produce various electronic goods including UPS, Smart Energy Meter, Inverters. Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal said that in the presence of the Chief Ministers of the North-East, despite being able to become the hub of Make in India, the former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh ignored this area. IT Secretary Ajay Sahni said that around Rs. 2200 crores will be spent as per the agenda. The central government will spend a total of 9762 crores in 415 plans, which will cost more than 7824 crores to promote telecom services. About 1200 crores will also be spent on the private sector, states.
