Washington: A US newly elected President Joe Biden on Tuesday appointed Gautam Raghavan and Vinay Reddy as additional members of the senior White House staff. Gautam Raghavan has been appointed as the Deputy Director of the Office of Presidential Personnel and Vinay Reddy as his speechwriter. Raghavan has previously served in the White House. Along with Reddy and Raghavan, Biden and newly elected Vice President Kamala Harris have also appointed 4 other senior personnel for the White House. Anne Philippic has been nominated as Director of Management and Administration, Ryan Montoya as Scheduled and Advance Director, Bruce Reid as Deputy Chief of Staff and Elizabeth Wilkins as Chief of Staff. According to the information received, Biden said in a statement that these experienced people are coming together to fulfil the policies that are going to bring our country on the path of construction that has never been done before. Reddy was also a senior consultant and speechwriter for Biden-Harris election campaigns. Raghavan has served as the Chief of Staff of Indian-American MP Pramila Jaipal. Talking about this, Kamla Harris said, 'Our country is struggling with epidemics, economic crisis, racial violence and climate crisis. We need a team to face these challenges. These public servants have the knowledge and experience to make our country better and I want to work with them for the bright future of all Americans.'
