Jonty Rhodes applied for Team India's fielding coach

Mumbai: Former South African cricketer Joanti Rhodes, known for his outstanding fielding in cricket, has applied for the post of Fielding Coach of Team India.

Former South African fielder Jonti Rhodes impressed everyone with his outstanding fielding.  Similarly, he is maintaining his image as a fielding coach.

Jonti Rhodes has served as fielding coach South Africa and IPL franchisee Mumbai Indians. Coming to the present time, the fielding of Team India is R Sridhar, whose tenure has been extended by 45 days. R Sridhar will be on a tour of the West Indies with the Indian team. Meanwhile, the BCCI has issued applications for the rest of the support staff, including the head coach, for which Jonti Rhodes has also applied.

Fielding coach R Sridhar may get direct entry, but the Kapil Dev-led Cricket Advisory Committee can give Rhodes a chance. If Joanti Rhodes meets the points of the Cricket Advisory Committee, it is possible for him to get a chance. The BCCI has sought applications for the post of Team India Head Coach, Batting Coach, Fielding Coach, Bowling Coach, Physio, Strength and Conditioning Coach and Administrative Manager, the last date of which is 30th July. All of them, except the manager, will have a tenure of two years.
