BJP works to recognize Assam's culture, says Nadda

Guwahati: Bjp national president JP Nadda arrived in Silchar today on his two-day visit to Assam on Monday. The BJP president addressed a public meeting at Silchar's police parade ground here. Here he briefed about the work done by the BJP government for the development and interest of the State.

The BJP president said at a public meeting in Silchar that the BJP has done the job of giving due recognition to the culture, language, and identity of Assam. He said the BJP is engaged in a peaceful manner for the development of Assam, considering the interests of all communities. Nadda further said that PM Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah have signed a peace agreement and brought the militants under the mainstream. This solved the 50-year-old Bodo issue. Nadda said the BJP would return to power in Assam in the 2021 elections.

He said that the present government has made a multifaceted development of the state in the last five years, so the state's accommodation will ensure the return of this government. During the Silchar rally, Nadda will also hold a meeting with the state party leadership including CM Sarbananda Sonowal of Assam.
