Kabir Khan is happy that Ali Abbas is directing the sequel of Ek Tha Tiger

Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif starrer 'Ek Tha Tiger' was directed by Kabir Khan but it's sequel 'Tiger Zinda Hai' will be directed by Ali Abbas Zafar to which Kabir said, "The series was started by me, and Ali is taking that forward. I feel very happy for him. He was my assistant and my close friend too."

Kabir added, "As Yash Raj Films has the rights to the series, so Ali will be directing the second installment. He will go with his vision of 'Tiger', though the characters and the basic set-up will be the same. The world which was created by me will be the same, but the interpretation will be different."

On giving any personal touch for the sequel, he said, "No, I haven't. Whatever the characters were in the first part, those will be carried forward, but the plot is different and is created by Ali only."

Kabir talked about his upcoming film Tubelight, "We've completed the shoot before schedule. Now the post-production is going on.

Still, there is a lot of time to release the film, so I have some ideas." I am thinking of making some mini-series for Netflix and Amazon. There are some ideas, which I am trying to develop. As soon as 'Tubelight' releases, I will be able to make an announcement about my next project."
