Karan Johar on Kangana getting the Padma Shri, says Kangana is an artist and I respect her

Who does not know about the rift between Bollywood's famous filmmaker Karan Johar and Panga actress Kangana Ranaut. Both leave no chance to comment on each other. Now Karan Johar has reacted to the Padma Shri Award received by Kangana Ranaut. Speaking to the media, Karan Johar said- 'Much has been said about any kind of rivalry or tension between Kangana and me. But whenever we meet in the public space, we greet each other politely. As a filmmaker, I respect Kangana's talent. She is an actress who has proved herself and deserves respect. Apart from Ekta and Adnan Sami, I am honored to receive Padma Shri along with Kangana."

On working with Kangana, Karan Johar said, "Tomorrow if I have a film for which I need Kangana, I will pick up the phone and call her. Whatever the problem, whatever has been said on social media, it does not matter to me. I am a filmmaker and she is an artist and personal things should not get in the way of our professional life. I believe in it and will stand by it."

Along with Karan Johar, Kangana Ranaut, 141 people have been announced to be given the Padma Award by the Government of India. Apart from filmmakers, Karan Johar, Kangana Ranaut, TV queen Ekta Kapoor, singer Suresh Wadekar, Adnan Sami, TV actress Sarita Joshi will also be honored with Padma Shri. Padma Shri is the fourth highest civilian honor of the country.
