Varun Dhawan is on cloud nine these as his last release Badrinath Ki Dulhania becomes the first super hit film of 2017. It has crossed 100-crore-mark as well also Varun's performance has been appreciated by everyone. When Varun was asked about celebrating the success, he said, "I wish there was time to celebrate, but I’m off to London for the Judwaa 2 shoot. The celebrations will have to wait. I just want my colleagues and friends to feel happy for us." He also said, "We had no expectations as to how successful it would be. We just enjoyed doing the film. But the one person who really believed in this film was Karan Johar, our producer. He kept saying it would be a roaring hit. We wondered how he was so sure." Varun on liked by audience said, "They like Badri, that’s why they like me. I’ve been lucky with my films and the characters I’ve played have connected with the movie goers." He also said, "Whether it’s the guy grieving for his dead wife and child in Badlapur, or the small-town guy in Badrinath, who falls head-over-heels in love, these are the people we all know." Varun gives credit to director of film, "It’s Shashank’s vision that makes the audiences fall in love with our characters. Like I said, audiences aren’t cheering me and Alia, they are cheering for our characters Badri and Vaidehi. If you feel Alia and my chemistry is special then it’s because of the way Shashank projected our characters. All the actors have contributed so much to the film."
