Will BJP change CM in Karnataka too? Yediyurappa's statement created a political stir

Bengaluru: Karnataka CM BS Yediyurappa on Thursday said his focus is only on controlling the global epidemic Covid-19 and protecting the interests of the people is still his priority amid speculation that efforts were made to remove him from office within the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

Indirectly attacking those who tried to remove him from the CM's post, Yediyurappa said those who had gone to Delhi had returned with answers. He said tackling the corona situation should be a priority for all ministers and MLAs. Yediyurappa further said, ''I am focusing only on controlling corona and protecting the interests of the people is my priority.'' He said that whatever MLA went to Delhi has been sent back by the High Command with a proper reply.

CM Yediyurappa told the press that when people are under stress and the death figures due to Covid-19 are rising, the priority of MLAs, ministers and all should be to control it. Amid the havoc of the second wave of corona virus in the state, there was speculation on Wednesday that efforts were being made to remove Yediyurappa from the CM post within the ruling BJP.
