Bengaluru: 5 persons have been detained by the Railway Protection Force under the Railway Property (Illegal Occupation) Act. The accused were selling the remdesivir medicines of Mandal Railway Hospital at higher rates by stealing and black marketing. Based on reliable information, Railway Protection Force conducted raids and 5 persons were taken into custody under Section 3 of railways. These include one ambulance driver and four other employees. The same criminal works on contract as a D class employee in a railway hospital. All the criminals have been produced before the court and sent to judicial custody. The criminal employees have been suspended and disciplinary action has been initiated against them by the Railway Administration.
