Kawasaki Z650 RS Anniversary Edition launched in India, Here is Price & Specs

Kawasaki Motors has announced the introduction of the new Z650 RS 50th Anniversary Edition in India just a few weeks after the global unveiling. The new super deluxe model is priced at Rs. 6.790 lakh, which is 5,000 rupees more than the standard model currently on sale in India. The company has also begun accepting orders for the model across the country, with deliveries expected to begin soon.

For an extra charge, the manufacturer has added a one-of-a-kind paint scheme on the motorcycle that alludes to the legendary Kawasaki Z1. The new colour scheme is called 'Firecracker Red,' which was also a popular colour in the 1980s. Despite the new colour palette, the bike also has a new chrome grab rail and golden rims to complete its throwback appearance. Excluding the new colour scheme, the motorbike is almost unchanged.

The 649cc parallel-twin engine produces the same 67.3bhp maximum power at 8,000rpm and 64Nm peak torque at 6,700rpm. The 6-speed gearbox is also the same. The same 41 mm telescopic fork with 125 mm travel, 130 mm Horizontal Back-link with adjustable preload, dual semi-floating 300 mm discs up front, and a single 220 mm disc at the back are included in the cycleparts. Because it is essentially the same bike, it retains the same lightweight trellis frame.
