KCR didn't fulfil any poll promises: Amit Shah

Telangana: Union Home Minister Amit Shah stepped up the Bharatiya Janata Party's campaign for the Telangana Assembly elections next year, saying that the party's 'Praja Sangrama Yatra' aims to "replace the Nizam (ruler) of Hyderabad."

"Not a single promise made before the previous polls has been fulfilled by Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao," Shah said of the state's ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) government.

On Saturday, Shah made his remarks at a public meeting in Telangana on the final day of the month-long 'Praja Sangrama Yatra' Phase-2. Shah was visiting the state for a day.

"This yatra is not about deposing one party and establishing another, or about making someone the chief minister of a state, but about changing the Nizam of Hyderabad. This yatra is directed at people who sit on the laps of rulers' representatives "The Minister of the Interior stated.

"This yatra is against the ideology that supports nepotism," Shah added, referring to dynasty politics. This yatra is against uprooting the TRS party, which has committed millions of dollars in corruption and has broken pledges to Dalits and tribals, according to Shah, who also stated that the party's objective is to remove Chief Minister KCR from power.

The Home Minister urged young people to "uproot" the TRS-led administration in order to "teach them the lessons of not breaking promises."

"KCR rarely goes to the state secretariat. He has been advised by an occultist that if he goes there, he would lose his power. There is no need for an occultist to foresee his losing power; Telangana's youth will uproot your government since you promised jobless benefits. Did you understand it? Telangana's youth should rise up and overthrow this government "Shah said.
