Tata Motors has launched its much-awaited Car Nexon on September 21 in the Indian market. It is the company's first sub-compact SUV car. The company has set its initial price of Rs 5.85 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Its direct combat will be with cars like Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Ford Ecosport, Honda WR-V and Mahindra TUV 300. Tata Nexon has been launched in four variants - XE, XM, XT and XZ +. The cost of petrol engine variants is Rs 5.85 lakh, Rs 6.49 lakh, Rs 7.29 lakh, and Rs 8.44 lakh and diesel variants worth Rs 6.85 lakh, Rs 7.39 lakh, 8.14 lakh and Rs 9.44 lakh respectively. It has a 6.5-inch touchscreen input system, which features such as Android Auto, Voice command, and message reading and reply. Talking of exterior, the car has given features such as fog lamps, dual tone paint schemes, three-tone interior, projector headlamps, LED DRLs and 16-inch big alloy wheels. The car has reverse parking sensor and engine start and stop button. In addition, the wearable key is given for remote access. This feature has been given for the first time in this segment.
