THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Following the rejection of a proposal by Argentina to hold a football friendly in India due to the exorbitant appearance fee demanded by the All India Football Federation (AIFF), Kerala Sports Minister V. Abdurahiman announced that the state is fully prepared to host the world champions led by Lionel Messi, provided they express their willingness to visit. Abdurahiman mentioned that he has already discussed this matter with Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, a well-known sports enthusiast. It was Chief Minister Vijayan who originally suggested the idea of organizing a friendly match with Argentina, and this proposal has been conveyed to them. Once we receive confirmation from Argentina, we will proceed accordingly. We will also approach the AIFF, and I am confident that there will be no reason for them to reject our proposition," stated Abdurahiman, who originates from Malappuram, the district with the most ardent football fan base in Kerala. When questioned about the anticipated expenses and whether the state can afford it, Abdurahiman responded, "Kerala's passion for football is widely recognized, so financial resources will not pose any issue whatsoever." Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo's stats compared on the day they turned 36, there's a clear winner Messi is likely to make his Inter Miami debut on July 21
