Kochi: Kerala Governor Arif Mohammed Khan has attacked the Pinarayi Vijayan government in the state. Taking a dig at the ruling party of Kerala, Governor Khan said, "I was not born in Kerala, but I can tie a 'Mundu' (Dhoti) better than them." Arif Khan was addressing a function organized by his Goan counterpart PS Sreedharan Pillai at the Raj Bhavan in Dona Paula to mark the completion of the 'Goa Gram Sampoorna Yatra'. Meanwhile, Governor Arif Mohammad Khan, referring to the deadlock between the government and him on several issues, said on Saturday that some incidents are happening in the state, but they should be ignored. Without naming anyone, Governor Khan also said that 'the real problem with some people is that I can wear MMundu (Dhoti) better than anyone, even though I am not born in Kerala'. He further said, 'Some incidents are happening in Kerala. Some things have happened, but we should learn to ignore them.' Earlier this month, the Kerala government issued an ordinance removing Governor Khan from the post of Vice-Chancellor of the state's universities. Later, the government also decided to call the assembly session from 5 December. However, he had said that the ordinance had become infructuous due to the summoning of the assembly.
