Kerala group helping Indian nurses to get placement in Germany

Thiruvananthapuram: Since It has been found that Germany having over 1.3 lakh nursing jobs, Kerala-based philanthropic organisations, with presence in both countries, have decided to utilise this opportunity to help financially disadvantaged Indian nurses get placements there.

Talking to over phone from Germany, Thomas Vallomtharayil, a key mover of the project and a coordinator between the German and Indian governments for this humanitarian venture, said this year, they expect about 100 Indian nurses to get placements. He said,  A1 and A2 German courses are processed by Indian teachers, and for B level, invite German teachers through online lessons, and for the average student, 6 to pass B level.  “After assessing the financial status of the nurse, the placement will be provided free of charge. It is open to Bachelor of Science nurses and general nurses, with the first requirement being German A1 / A2 or You must have passed the B1 / B2 level. We offer free German classes.
