'KGF Chapter 2' rights sold to this famous filmmaker for 90 crores

Recently, the makers have already signed the Hindi rights of 'KGF Chapter 2'. According to reports, the Hindi rights to the movie have been sold for around Rs 90 crore. These rights have been purchased by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani's production house Excel Entertainment. Reports have also claimed that Farhan and Ritesh had to pay many times more money to purchase 'KGF2' Hindi rights. According to the latest reports coming now, the deal for the Telugu rights of the film has also been finalized. These rights have been decided by popular filmmaker Dil Raju.

Earlier, it was speculated that Telugu production house Varahi Chalan Chitram would buy the rights to KGF2. Banner bought the Telugu rights for the Firs part of the film. However, after the success of the teaser of the film, the producers have demanded a huge amount for Telugu rights and many banners have decided to step back. The makers of Yash's movie 'KGF Chapter 2' had reportedly demanded Rs 70 crore to deal with Telugu rights.

Reports showed that Dil Raju has signed a bumper deal for 65 crores. If the information is to be believed, Varahi Chalan Chitram had purchased the rights of KGF Chapter 1 for just 5 crores and made more than double profit. Experts are calling it a jackpot for Tollywood makers, given the keenness of KGF 2. Directed by Prashanth Neel, the film stars Yash, Sanjay Dutt, Raveena Tandon, Srinidhi Shetty and Prakash Raj in lead roles. The film will hit theaters on July 16 this year.
