Khamenei Warns Israel “Won't Last Long” During Tehran Sermon

Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei delivered a sharp warning during his Friday sermon, asserting that Israel “won't last long.” He extended his support to Palestinian and Lebanese groups opposing Israel, urging Muslims to aid Lebanon and its people. In front of a large crowd, Khamenei declared that Israel only survives due to American backing and predicted its eventual downfall.

In response, Israel’s Foreign Minister countered with a warning, stating that Israel has hidden surprises for Hezbollah as tensions rise amidst military offensives.

Khamenei also praised Iran's recent missile strike on Israel, calling it a “shining” achievement by Iran's armed forces. On Tuesday, Iran launched over 180 missiles at Israel in a rapid escalation of conflict. While Israel intercepted many of the missiles, Iran claimed that most hit their targets, though no immediate reports of casualties surfaced.

During his speech at Tehran's Mosalla mosque, Khamenei emphasized that the attacks on Israel were justified by law and Islamic beliefs. He urged resistance movements across the region, including in Lebanon and Palestine, to remain steadfast in their struggle.

Khamenei's remarks also included praise for the late Hezbollah leader, Hassan Nasrallah, who was recently killed in an Israeli airstrike in Beirut. He described Nasrallah as a symbol of resistance and vowed that his legacy would continue to inspire the movement.
