Bengali filmmaker Abhijit Roy's short film 'Khancha' reflects women's struggle

Everybody is aware about the struggle generally women faces in India. Even after launching a number of women empowerment campaigns and awareness about women welfare, still, women are facing huge challenges and harassment in their day to day lives. On one hand, we talk about empowering women and gender equality but on the other hand, women are being harassed and exploited.

Famous Bengali filmmaker Abhijit Roy comes to the floor with another great short film based on the harsh reality of the women's position in our society. After becoming a mother, any women will have to take time off her work to raise her child. Some ladies join their jobs right away while on the other hand, some take leave from their work to raise their child and spend some time with their children and family. The filmmaker is coming with the short film 'Khancha' which is going to reflect the same issue.

Abhijit is a well-known filmmaker and his films are based on true facts and realities. Abhijit’s previous short film ‘Matrirupeno’ also received excellent response and review after selecting in 11 prestigious film festivals. His another film 'Agomonir Obogahon' was rewarded with 9 awards.
