Khandwa: Omkareshwar, the city of religion and spirituality, is going to make history. In fact, we are saying this because a 108 feet tall statue of Adi Shankaracharya made of 'Ashtadhatu' is going to be installed soon in Omkareshwar. There are reports that the platform on which the statue will be installed will have a height of 54 feet. The company that has cooperated in the construction of buildings like Sardar Patel's Statue of Unity and Burj Khalifa in Dubai is going to be given the job of making a statue of Shankaracharya. In fact, the Board of Trustees of Shankaracharya Cultural Unity Trust met in Bhopal last Saturday in the presence of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan. The statue of Shankaracharya, museum and international Advaita Vedanta Institute were discussed during the meeting. A presentation was made on the entire project. This was informed by Usha Thakur, Minister-in-charge of Tourism and Khandwa in Khandwa last Sunday. In the meantime, he said, "Omkareshwar is going to write a new chapter in the list of tourist spots. Speaking on the occasion, Minister Usha Thakur said, "On the lines of Akshar Dham in Delhi, Shankaracharya's knowledge land Omkareshwar will be developed as the global hub of Advaita Vedanta. It has been named as 'STATUE OF ONENESS' the statue of unity. ' He further said, "An architect advisor has been appointed to prepare detailed projects and reports for works including statue installation. In the meantime, Minister Usha Thakur also said, "The International Advaita Vedanta Institute will be an international research and coordination centre. Seven centres (schools) will be set up under the Institute. They will also have glimpses of different monasteries and backs in different forms.''
