Kia has sold over 1 lakh connected cars in India

South Korean automaker Kia Motors on Wednesday became the First Brand In India to sell over 1 Lakh car with connected Tech in India. The company announced that they have sold over 1 lakh units of connected cars in India.  The company crossed this milestone of its 'connected cars' in India within 16 months of starting operations in the country.

In a statement, Kia Motors said that one out of two Kia cars sold in India is a connected car, which is equipped with the company's UVO connect system, an advanced and dynamic solution that seamlessly integrates smartphone or smartwatch with the car and its infotainment system into a single unit. The automaker also mentioned that connected cars account to 55 per cent of their total sales in the Indian market, since the start of operations.

The brand's UVO connects technology seamlessly integrates the customer's smartphone with its infotainment system. The UVO Connect also offers customers an additional 57 connected features from live vehicle tracking, vehicle status, voice commands, remote operations of air purifier, air conditioning and engine start/stop. It also comes with features such as geofencing, immobilisation, SOS emergency assistance and many others.
