New Delhi: Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) co-owner Ness Wadia has said that the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) should work to improve the level of umpiring and technology in the Indian Premier League 2020 (IPL 2020). It should be used to the maximum. At the crucial time, before Punjab lost in the Super Over against Delhi Capitals, on-field umpire Nitin Menon took the disputed call of 'short-run' while TV replays clearly showed that Punjab should have got the run. Wadia has said in his statement, 'It is very sad that even in this era of maximum use of technology, we are not able to use technology in a cricket match for complete transparency and fairness like it is done in EPL or NBA. Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) co-owner Ness Wadia said, "I would urge the BCCI to improve the level of umpiring and make maximum use of technology so that the fairness and transparency of this league among the world's best leagues is maintained". Wadia has expressed hope that the BCCI will change the IPL rules so that such incidents do not happen in future.
