New Delhi: Kisan Panchayat of Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, the National General Secretary of the Congress Party, to be held on 19 February in Mathura, has been postponed due to the death of former Union Minister Captain Satish Sharma. A statement has been given by Priyanka's office today in this regard. It has been said in this statement that now this Kisan Panchayat will take place on February 23 instead of February 19. The statement said that due to the death of Captain Satish Sharma, the Kisan Panchayat to be held on 19 February in Mathura has been postponed. This Kisan Panchayat will now be held on 23 February. Priyanka will attend the funeral of Satish Sharma. It is noteworthy that Sharma, close to the Gandhi family, died in Goa on Wednesday. He was suffering from cancer. Former Congress President Rahul Gandhi, General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and many other leaders of the party have expressed grief over the death of former Union Minister Captain Satish Sharma and said that their lack will always be felt. Rahul Gandhi took to Twitter and wrote, 'I am very sad to hear about the death of Captain Satish Sharma. I have affection and condolences to his family and friends. We will miss them.'
