Robert De Niro has won the Oscar Award twice

Noted Hollywood veteran actor Robert De Niro has won the Oscar Award twice. Also Robert is rich in versatility. He is an actor as well as a director and producer.

When Robert was three years old, his parents became divers. His mother received Robert's custody and grew up in Greenwich Village, New York. At the age of 10, Robert realized that he would grow up to become an actor. Robert's inclination towards films also increased, and that's why he left high school at the age of 16 to learn acting.

Robert De Niro made his first film The Wedding Party at the age of 20 in 1963. However, this movie was released much later. His role as a baseball player in Bang the Drum Slowly (1973) was well received. Also in 1974, Robert De Niro played the young don Vito Corleone in 'The Godfather Part II', directed by Francis Ford Coppola.

He received the First Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his character in this film. However, the award was accepted by Coppola, as Robert De Niro was not present at the Oscars. Along with this, De Niro played Michael Ronsky in the 1978 Vietnam War movie The Deer Hunter. For this he was nominated for Best Actor in a Leading Role. With this, he has achieved many achievements in his career.
