For the puja, earthen or copper pot, betel leaf, skewer, urn, whole rice grains, sandalwood, flowers, turmeric, ghee, raw milk, curd, honey, sugar powder, roli and mauli are used. Shringar: On the day of Karva Chauth, it is considered mandatory for married women to do 16 Shringar. This increases the importance of the fast even more.
Mangalsutra: Buying Mangalsutra and bangles on the day of Karvachauth has special significance. Buying and wearing it is considered very auspicious.
