Kohli receives Polly Umrigar Award for the third time; Ashwin holds Dilip Sardesai Award twice

Virat Kohli, the captain of Indian cricket team, faced failure after a while when India was playing against Australia in Pune last week. But looking at his victory in the last year, Kohli would be awarded for his runs accumulated with the Polly Umrigar Award in the BCCI annual awards on March 8 in Bengaluru.

The 30-years-old has received the award thrice and so becomes the first cricketer for the same. Along with the captain, Ravichandran Ashwin will also be awarded the Dilip Sardesai Award for being an all-rounder. The spinner is also the first cricketer who is receiving the award twice.

Along with the players, Mumbai Cricket Association becomes the State Association of the Season (2015-16) for winning Trophies such as Ranji, The CK Naydu and the Women's Plate League Group. They secured the runner-up position in the Cooch Behar Trophy, The Vijay Merchant Trophy and the Women's One-Day Elite Group.
