HYDERABAD: KT Rama Rao, the working president of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS), sent an open letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi about the unemployment issue. The Telangana Minister wrote Prime Minister Modi, claiming that the Bharatiya Janata Party-led central government has failed badly in creating jobs for the country's youth. KTR urged that the Centre fill the 16 million government jobs that are currently unfilled. He went on to say that during the COVID outbreak, demonetization and lockdown had a significant impact on people's jobs and livelihoods. "Today, there are just 'pakoda' job chances in the country," KTR said, blaming the union government's ineffective policies. KTR said, the country now has the highest unemployment rate in the world because of the central government's indecisiveness in selling government firms. The TRS leader questioned the central government about how it plans to fill 16 lakh job openings and what steps it is taking to create 2 crore jobs per year. "How many of the promised 2 million jobs per year were or will be produced for Telangana's youth? What solutions do you have for the job losses that have resulted from the sale of government assets to private entities? "He asked.
