Dehradun: There is talk of developing Pakharo tourism zone of Kalagarh Tiger Division of Corbett Tiger Reserve in the state. On the lines of the Ramganga river, a lake will be prepared in Pakhro, in which tourists will also be able to enjoy boating in the coming time. CTR officials have started working on this scheme. On 21 July, a meeting of Corbett Foundation was held in Kotdwar. In the meeting, emphasis has been laid on developing Pakhoro Tourism Zone on behalf of Forest Minister Harak Singh Rawat. Along with this, he also told that like the Ramganga river from Kalagarh to Dhikala, it is planned to build a lake in Pakharo on the same lines. The lake is being prepared after collecting the water of small and big rivers in Pakho. Tourist boating will also be done in this lake in the coming time. There is talk of making Pakharo Attractive Tourist Places so that Pakhro Zone in Corbett can also attract tourists. Water of Sona river source, Jasod, Pakharo, Dholkhand, Chapra, Sua river-drains are being collected in the same Pakharo tourism zone. There is also an intention to give employment to local youth behind making Pakho a tourist destination. Simultaneously, in the meeting of Corbett Foundation held in Kotdwar on 21 July, the Minister of Forest has been asked to develop Pakhro Tourism Zone. There is a plan to build a lake in Pakhro Tourism Zone, in which tourists will be able to go boating. With the development of this zone, employment will also be provided to the local youth there.
