After some time from now, he will appear in court in the Doranda Koshagar case and record his statement. Heavy security arrangements have been made in the court campus. During the last hearing of the case, CBI Special Judge SK Shashi deposed the former Bihar Chief Minister and RJD chief Lalu Prasad on January 16 (Thursday) in the CBI court in Ranchi in connection with illegal withdrawal of Rs 139 crore from Doranda treasury of Ranchi. The order for lodging was given to Birsa Munda Jail Administration.

The statement of a total 111 accused in this case has to be recorded. In this 109 accused have recorded their statement. The statement of Lalu and a vet, Dr. Shivanandan Prasad, is yet to be taken. Dr. Shivanandan Prasad was also sent a notice by the court, but due to being ill, he could not come to record the statement. CBI can take his statement through an affidavit. After the statement of the accused is recorded, witnesses will be produced by the defense. A list of witnesses will be submitted in the court on behalf of the accused. The court order will begin the testimony. After the testimony, there will be a debate in the defense and prosecution. After this, there will be a hearing on the point of punishment. The court has issued an order to the jail superintendent to produce Lalu Prasad in a physical court.
