Lalu Yadav and his Son Tejashwi Summoned By CBI

The Bihar politician Lalu Prasad Yadav and his son Tejashwi Yadav both have been summoned by CBI in connection with a land scam.Tejaswani refused to quit after the charges had lodged against him. 

Lalu has been asked to appear for questioning on Monday where else his son is asked to appear on Tuesday.

Lalu Yadav has been accused of facilitating a contract to a private company to run hotels, as the country's Railways Minister in 2006, after receiving a bribe in the form of a three-acre plot in Patna, where a mall is being built.

According to the CBI, "Lalu Yadav was charged with facilitating, as the country's Railways Minister in 2006, a contract to a private company to run hotels, in exchange for the premium three-acre plot as bribe. The land was first transferred to the wife of a lawmaker of Mr Yadav's party and finally to Mr Yadav's wife and sons at a dirt-cheap rate."

Tejashwi is also one of the owners of the land, where a mall is being built.
