Srinagar: An active Lashkar-E-Taiba terrorist has been arrested in the Budgam district of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. Police said a joint team of 02 RR, 62 RR of police and army has caught an active terrorist in Pushkar. He said the arrested terrorist has been identified as Hamid Nath, a resident of Peth Janigam. He had been active since February 26 this year. The official said he was also special to Lashkar commander Mohammad Yusuf Kantro. Earlier, on October 16, the Kashmir Zone police reported that Lashkar-E-Taiba terrorist Omar Mushtaq Khande had been killed in an encounter. Khande killed two police personnel Mohammad Yusuf and Suhail Ah who were taking tea at Baghat in Srinagar in February. Hamid Nath carried out other terrorist attacks in the state. Police have killed Khande in the Pampore area of the Pulwama district after a prolonged encounter. Security forces have been working to wipe out terrorists since police released a hitlist in August this year.
