Latehar: In Jharkhand, the racket of brokers sending girls out of the state on the pretext of getting work has been exposed. The case pertains to Nawabandh under the Dedha village of Balumath police station area of Latehar, from where police rescued 31 girls from the clutches of brokers being taken to Tamil Nadu by special bus on Wednesday. Police sources have told that many brokers of the area are active in this task of sending girls out of the state. They are also getting huge amount of money in return for sending girls. He said that on the basis of secret information, the Balumath police rescued 31 girls and women in a Tamil Nadu number bus. All the girls were being transported from Jharkhand to Chennai, by promising them jobs in the thread mill. Balumath Zonal Officer Ravi Kumar said that the girls were being taken to the Krishna thread mill in Chennai from several districts including Latehar, Lohardaga, Ranchi, Palamu. Police said that both the driver and the driver of the bus caught did not know Hindi. Due to this, they are not able to tell clearly which company they are taking the girls for. The girls being illegally taken out have been kept at the Kasturba Girls School in Balumath and the case is being investigated.
