According to the latest opinion poll in UP, Akhilesh Yadav is the first choice of people for the CM post and Samajwadi Party in his leadership may get 141 to 151 seats in the assembly. These are the results of the opinions’ survey conducted buy CSDS survey agency and ABP News, in the scenario of demonetization and beginning of frictions between the two factions of SP. It was done between December 5 and 17, by taking opinions of more than 5000 people in 65 assembly constituencies and televised and published online now. As per the opinion poll 28% of people want to see Akhilesh as CM again and at the second position, 21% liked Mayawati. While in response to the question of the most popular leader of UP, 83% people chose Akhilesh and only 6% chose Mulayam Singh. In terms of seats, (if the poll would have held at the time of the survey) SP may get seats between 141 and 151, while BJP may be second with 129-139 seats and BSP may at third place with 93-103 seats and Congress if remains alone, might only get 9 to 13 seats. But, it is also interesting to note that around 34% public was satisfied with the work of Akhilesh govt. In state and around 32% were satisfied with the work of Narendra Modi at the center. in response to the question that, if Akhilesh and Mulayam factions of SP will fight separately then the poll showed that the Akhilesh faction would get 82 to 92 seats and Mulayam faction will only fetch 9 to 15 seats.
