Jhansi: A unique incident is coming to the fore from Jhansi district of Uttar Pradesh. Here in the village, the bride gave priority to her studies before marriage and stopped the rounds midway and went to appear for the exam. After returning after giving the paper, the bride completed the wedding rituals and then the family members sent the bride away. Everyone is praising this decision of the bride. In fact, the marriage of Krishna Rajput, a bride living in Dongri village of Jhansi district, was fixed with the groom Yashpal Singh, a resident of Babina. Earlier, the date of marriage of both was May 4. But, due to civic elections, the date of marriage was changed to May 15. Later the college people called Krishna and said that on May 16, her BA third year paper is due. Whether to give the exam or not, in the midst of this uproar, the date of Krishna's marriage came near and on May 15, her family members welcomed her wedding procession. On the morning of May 16, Krishna's rounds were going on. Because of this, stopping the rounds, she talked about going to the college and appearing for the BA final year examination. At first the family members were stunned, then everyone agreed and then Krishna reached the college to give the exam in marriage. Here, the groom kept waiting for his bride to return. After a few hours Krishna returned home after giving the exam and then completed the seven rounds along with the rest of the marriage rituals were also completed. Shyamji Mishra, Principal of Krishna's College Swami Vivekananda Mahavidyalaya, said that when he came to know that student Krishna is getting married on the day of examination, he explained to her family members, after many problems, the family agreed to get her paper. We are happy that the student did not miss her paper.
