It has been a horrific week for Ajay Devgn and Kajol. Earlier this week, Ajay's father Veeru Devgan suddenly passed away. The ace action director died on Monday, May 27. Two days later, reports revealed that Kajol's mother Tanuja is in the hospital.
The yesteryear star was admitted in Mumbai's Lilavati Hospital after she complained about abdominal pain on May 29. It has now been revealed that the 75-year-old star has been diagnosed with diverticulitis. According to a report, the actress will undergo an operation to treat the medical condition.

Sources told the publication that the actress will be operated for the medical condition wherein there is an "inflammation or infection of small pouches called diverticula." It is said that infection or inflation develops along the walls of the intestines.
According to a website called Medical News Today, the symptoms include pain in the lower abdomen. The pain reportedly comes while eating or during the passing of stools. A small amount of blood in stools is also a symptom. It is said that the lack of dietary fibre is often considered as the cause of it.
Meanwhile, Kajol has been spotted at the hospital with her mother. The actress was earlier seen at her father-in-law aka Veeru's funeral. The last rites took place in Mumbai's Vile Parle. A video of the actress breaking down while Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was consoling her made the rounds of the internet. Several Bollywood stars were seen standing beside the Devgn family during their time of sorrow.
