LGBT community shows solidarity in New York, mayor in city took part in parade

NEW YORK: 150,000 people marched in the Valardpride Parade in New York City to show solidarity with the LGBTQ community, waving rainbow banners. According to news agency AFE, members of multi-coloured tableaus, stilt-walkers, drag queens, heterosexual, gay, non-governmental organizations, activists, TV artists and leaders joined new York on Sunday to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Gay Pride and the famous Stonewall riots, which took place in New York on Sunday. The struggle for equal rights for the community proved to be a turning point.
