Dabra: The excise department has come into action before the bye-election. In fact, action has been initiated against those who are constantly trading raw liquor. On October 12, the district excise officer led by a major action in Chiruli village of the backward police station area. The raw liquor and goods worth about 4.5 lakh rupees have been confiscated and destroyed. In this case, it is reported that there have been complaints of large scale making and selling of raw liquor in the department. On this, the excise department takes action only in the election season and thereafter the business of raw liquor is released on a large scale. In the past, the Excise Department team, led by District Excise Officer Renu Gupta, carried out the operation in village Chiruli under the police station area along with the backward police station. A large quantity of raw liquor, has been confiscated from here. It is also reported that the price of confiscated goods and liquor is estimated at about four lakh fifty thousand rupees. The action has also included the force of the backward and the Dabra police along with the excise.
