Loot of lakhs deterred due to dogs, miscreants ran away leaving ATM

Hazaribagh: A unique incident has come to light in the Hazaribagh district of Jharkhand in which a pet dog hindered an ATM robbery. The incident took place at Chaithi village under the Chauparan police station area. Police said that the gang of robbers had come to the Axis Bank ATM on the ground floor of the house here with gas cutters, LPG cylinders and hammers to loot them in the dark of the night. But with the wisdom of the dog, the robbers could not succeed in their intentions.

According to the reports received, the owner of the house in which the ATM is located is Sudhir Baranwal. The robbers had almost failed to cut the machine when Sudhir's pet dog Samba started barking. The dog kept barking incessantly until Sudhir and the people nearby woke up. As soon as the people awakened and they came out, the robbers left the machine and fled. Immediately, the police were informed. Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Nazir Akhtar said there were Rs 27 lakh in the bank. At present, a case has been registered against the unidentified robbers and an investigation has been initiated into the incident. He said he suspected the involvement of robbers from outside the state.

Let me tell you, the ATM loot gang is active these days in Jharkhand. ATM looting has been carried out by miscreants at many places in the state. The incident of looting from an ATM was carried out twice in Chauparan. At the same time, miscreants looted at ATMs at other places including Behragoda Ghatshila.
