Lyricist Manoj Muntashir expressed displeasure over not receiving award, said this on tweeter

A controversy has been started this after 65th Filmfare Awards held in Guwahati. Lyricist Manoj Muntashir has expressed displeasure on social media for not getting the award for his song 'Teri Mitti' written by the film 'Kesari'. This song was selected for Best Lyrics. However, the song 'Apna Time Aayega' from 'Gully Boy' won this category. Ankur Tiwari and Divine have received awards for this song. Significantly, at the Filmfare Awards held on Saturday, the film' Gully Boy 'has won 10 awards.

Manoj tweeted with the message of the Goodbye Awards, wrote, '“Dear Awards…Even if I try all my life..I won’t be able to write a better line than ..’Tu Kahti Thee Tera Chaand Hoon Main Aur Chaand Hoon MainAur Chaand Humesha Rahta hai.’ You failed to honour the words which made millions of Indians cry and care for their motherland. It would be a great disrespect to my art if I still continue caring for you. So here I bid you a final goodbye. I officially announce- I won’t attend any award show till I breathe my last. Alvida."

Born in Amethi, Uttar Pradesh, Manoj Muntashir is known for songs like 'Galiyan' of 'Ek Villain', 'Mere Rashke Qamar' of 'Badshahon' and 'Tere Sang Yaara' of film 'Rustom'. Apart from this, he has also written the script of TV shows.
