At the same time, an Indian Air Force helicopter has rescued seven people trapped on the roof of a temple near Sondha in Datia district due to the rise of river Sindh. According to information received, the Air Force has evacuated 46 people safely till around 11.30 pm last night. On the other hand, CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan himself is in active mode to deal with the flood situation in the state. He was seen conducting an aerial survey of the flood-affected areas last Wednesday. He also took stock of two bridges that collapsed after heavy rains on Datia-Gwalior Road. CM then said that "army troops are working in the four worst flood-affected districts in a row. The water level in the Chambal river is continuously rising. Army has been called in to help Bhind and Morena districts. About 5,000 people have been rescued and evacuated so far.''
