CM reviews meeting on paddy procurement in MP

Bhopal: The cases of COVID19 are spreading rapidly in the capital of Madhya Pradesh. The government is making all efforts to check the risk of corona infection in Bhopal during unlock 5. Now, amidst the corona crisis, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has held a review meeting today.

This meeting was held by Chief Minister Shivraj with senior officials and discussed about the procurement of Paddy in the state, payment to the farmers and storage of accrued paddy. He instructed senior officials to procure paddy at the support price, to procure grain from the farmer. Further, he said that all arrangements should be proper to ensure that farmers are benefited from paddy procurement, they do not have any difficulty.

In the meeting, he further said that the quality of paddy must be taken care of but the interest of the farmer should be ensured on priority. He said, "In any case, the farmer does not get less than the support price and they should be given the benefit of the accrual process without any hassle."
