Bhopal: MP Home Minister Narottam Mishra has made a big statement. Amidst the growing cases of the Omicron variant, Narottam Mishra has said that panchayat elections in Madhya Pradesh should be postponed. He says that elections are no more than life. In fact, Panchayat elections are scheduled to be held in three phases in Madhya Pradesh from January 6. Narottam Mishra has said that elections should be postponed. Narottam Mishra said, 'Elections are no bigger than anyone's life. People's lives are the first priority for us. In the east there was a lot of damage from the corona epidemic. So my personal opinion is that panchayat elections should be postponed in view of the panic and acrimony of corona.'

Earlier, the Madhya Pradesh government has imposed night curfew in the state from 11 pm to 5 am as a precautionary measure from Thursday. At the same time, the public has been advised to strictly follow the corona rules. CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that necessary steps are being taken to stop the third wave of corona in the state. A major step in this order has been to impose night curfew. More steps will be taken if needed.

He also said that if someone is confirmed to be infected and has adequate space in their house, they will be treated in a home-separate dislocation. If there is not enough space in the house, the patient should be admitted to the hospital immediately so that the family can avoid getting affected by the infection.
