Bhopal: Heavy rains in Madhya Pradesh have completely affected public life. At present, the rain in the Gwalior-Chambal region of the state has taken a turn for the day. Chambal, Parvati, Tem, Kuno, and Sindh rivers emanating from this part of the region are in spate. Meanwhile, floods have wreaked havoc in several villages of Guna, Shivpuri, Sheopur, Morena, and Bhind districts. The rivers have blocked the roads as water comes on the bridge. The Met department has predicted heavy rain in the state during the next 48 to 72 hours. The Met department has issued an orange alert in 8 districts of the state and a yellow alert has been issued for lightning with heavy rainfall in 10 districts. Weather scientists say the rain in the state will continue this week. Because a system is becoming active again in the Bay of Bengal. Due to this, there will be heavy rainfall in the state from 2nd to 5th August. The Met department has issued orange alerts at Sheopur, Morena, Bhind, Datia, Guna, Gwalior, Shivpuri, and Ashoknagar in Madhya Pradesh. At the same time, yellow alerts have been issued in Rajgarh, Agar, Neemuch, Mandsaur, Vidisha, Chhatarpur, Balaghat, Panna, Shahdol, and Tikamgarh. The districts of Bhopal, Hoshangabad, Jabalpur, Indore, Ujjain, Chambal, Shahdol, Sagar, and Rewa divisions are the districts where light rain will continue.
