LOS ANGELES: Madonna is reportedly set to hit the road later this year to celebrate the 40th anniversary of her music career. On January 4, 'The Sun' reported that the 'Material Girl' hitmaker is likely to announce new dates in the next few weeks, reports aceshowbiz.com. A source close to the matter has also confirmed to the outlet that the 64-year-old star has booked out London's O2 Arena for multiple events. The so-called insider shared, "Madonna is trying something entirely fresh and genuinely offering fans, young and old, what they want." She wants to capitalise on the success of songs like "Frozen" and "Material Girl" on TikTok by bringing her back catalogue to a completely new generation. The informant further explained, "She had previously desired to be forward-looking and to concentrate on the new record that she is promoting. But now that she's in her mid-sixties, she's starting over and redefining herself." That being said, the source said, "it is likely to be no holds barred and adequately provocative." "Her previous "Madame X" tour took place in intimate theatres, but this one will take place in stadiums; the O2 has already been confirmed. It's quite thrilling." In 2019 and 2020, she performed 75 private events at theatres all over the world as part of her "Madame X" tour. The fifty-track collection includes her favourite remixes of her dance hits, spanning her entire 40-years of career.
